Over Under Adventures and the Gone Surf Inn are offering a fish-snorkel-stay package on Rum Cay located in the southeastern Bahamas. This package includes seven days of fishing on a 55' Sportfish and seven nights at the Gone Surf Inn located only steps from Sumner Point Marina.

Total package is $8900 for six persons and includes seven nights accommodations at the Gone Surf Inn, fishing on 54' Bertram, crew & two golf carts. Not included are all other expenses including fuel, dockage, meals, transportations to/from island & gratuity.

Rum Cay offers spectacular fishing & diving right off the tip of Sumner Point.The South East and North East points at Rum Cay are two of the best producing fishing areas in the Bahamas. From the marina, you may as well drop the lines when you clear the outer reef. The South-East Point is only a couple miles away and has quietly become one of the best producing Blue Marlin areas in the entire Caribbean. Inshore the free diving and bottom fishing is equally excellent. One of the best features of Rum Cay is its small size, allowing us to fish the leeward side of the island on those otherwise unfishable days.

Diving on Rum

Deep reefs and drop-offs surround this former pirates’ haven. There is staghorn coral at Summer Point Reef and good diving at Pinder’s Point. At the Grand Canyon, huge 60-foot coral walls almost reach the surface.

The wreck of the 101-gun man of war HMS Conqueror, built in Devon in 1855 and which served in the Crimean War, lies in 30 feet of water off Rum Cay where it sank in 1861, is preserved as the Underwater Museum of the Bahamas. It is the property of The Bahamas Government and none of the contents of the ship may be removed.
